La Veguilla Lagoon

La Veguilla Lagoon is the closest to the centre of Alcázar de San Juan and is characterised by its freshwater, which supports lush vegetation of reeds, rushes and bulrushes. It has a bird hide for observing the many species that inhabit and visit the lagoon throughout the year. A 3.5 km circuit surrounds the wetland, offering an accessible and pleasant walk on foot. It is considered one of the best birdwatching spots in all of La Mancha, attracting ornithologists and nature lovers.
